You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of VisibleHand. You have no authority to bind VisibleHand. This agreement does not create an employment relationship, and nothing should be construed as one.
You are solely responsible for your own business: taxes (including self-employment tax), insurance, licenses, permits, equipment, transportation, and compliance with all applicable laws. You determine how, when, and where you perform services, subject to the bookings you accept.
VisibleHand is a marketplace. We do not guarantee any minimum number of bookings, jobs, or earnings. You may accept or decline any booking or bid at your discretion.
You agree to perform services professionally and to upload before-and-after photo proof to complete each job. Reviews may only be left by clients with a completed booking. False or misleading photos or reviews may result in removal from the marketplace.
Your first 20 completed jobs are commission-free — you keep the job total minus only the payment-processing fee. From the 21st completed job onward, VisibleHand charges a 12% commission deducted from your payout. The client always pays only the listed or agreed price.
Payment methods are arranged between you and the client through the app. VisibleHand facilitates but is not a party to the payment. You are responsible for your own tax reporting and compliance.
You are responsible for your own acts and omissions. VisibleHand is not liable for your work or for the acts of clients. You agree to indemnify VisibleHand from claims arising from your services to the extent permitted by law.
Either party may end this arrangement at any time. VisibleHand may suspend or remove you for violations of these terms, poor performance, or fraudulent activity.
By checking the acceptance box during provider signup, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Independent Contractor Agreement.
